This and that ramble plus a bit of a declaration

Wow has it been a busy summer! And as usual I am trying to keep my many irons in the fire hot. Today I am just hanging with my kids and getting some much neglected things done in my house.  You know those dreaded things like laundry, dusting and organizing. It is not s'much fun but I look at it like this...at least I have things and a house to oranize, humble though it is, it is my sanctuary. Ssooookay. Got Doctor Who blaring in the background, my trusty dogs beside me, and the lovely chaos of my children ringing through the house.      I have gotten my jewelry stuff back out ( what little I had left) and started working on that again and it brings me much solace. I am rewriting one of my books and am determined to find out where this character is going once and for all!  I am getting ready to repot some of my beloved succulents and other plants in prep for fall as even though my herbs flopped this year my plants did amazing!!!!    A few things have happened in life that ha

RIP Kurt

I really am just stunned this is still something people mull and try to work out. I remember the day I heard that Kurt was dead. It was breaking news on just about every channel. I think I was watching Kurt Loder deliver the blow on M tv. I cried with the rest of his fans while I watched the story be rehashed on tv, all the wile listening to the one true grunge god croon "And I swear that I don't have a gun." on my then( still) favorite album, Nevermind.    There is much, I could say about his tragic, yet chosen end, and addicts, and depression, and Courtney, but I won't. There is no point. The fact is a young, troubled , talented , man's life is no more.  Let's stop playing conspiracy detective and digging up bones. He is gone. Let's just hope he is in a better place and be thankful he left us with a part of himself. http://dlisted.com/2014/04/30/kurt-cobain-called-courtney-love-a-bitch-with-zits-in-a-letter/

Natural or plastic?

"What in the hell are you thinking?!"  Was my guy's reply when I told him I wanted to get a mommy make over.  Now by mommy make over I don't mean new makeup , hair, and clothes. When I say mommy make over I mean tummy tuck, boob lift/augmentation and perhaps even a chemical peel.  He was appalled that I would want to go under the knife to alter my body when it is just fine...according to him.  He went on to say that it was very vain and ridiculous of me since I look so young for my age and I should not be thinking of being put under and carved on, and blah, blah, blah, and a bunch of other stuff that in no way convince my brain that what he is saying is true. ( yeah Im off that way)  OK, so maybe he is partially right but in all fairness isn't he also partially wrong?  Let's dissect shall we? (It is my body, and my self esteem and life and...oh yes sorry..back to dissecting)   I do agree that while one can go too far with the plastic surgery that a little h

Top O the mornin..errr afternoon to ya!  The air is crisp and I am busy as usual. Busy though I am I just had to come and rant about something I read today on Facebook. It seems that in Utah a group of elementary students had their lunch trays snatched from their hands because their accounts were past due. Yes you heard me. They were served and then had the food taken and thrown in the trash!  Now a spokesperson for the school said that they could not see who owed money and who didn't until they were served and that the children were given fruit and milk.  Are you flipping kidding me?????? The parents needless to say were livid. As they should be! I mean this mom would have shown up with her bitch on!    I know what you are thinking right now. You are thinking maybe this is one of those Facebook things that just gets passed around that isn't true or is over exaggerated. Well I am here to tell you it is not! I looked it up and this story is all over the place from CNN, t
